Barn to Office Conversion, Breamore

Within the curtilage of a grade 1 listed building, the barn was close to collapse and was completely restored in order to preserve it for the future. The main challenge with this building was the south facing elevation which was badly bowed and the preservation of a cobbled floor which at the request of the conservation officer had to be retained under the new floor.

The clients live in a property nearby and needed additional space for their expanding business. The barn conversion was particularly challenging as the east facing wall is predominantly of traditional cob construction and the west facing elevation required the restoration of flint panels.
