Testimonials:

"We were recommended to DCA by several friends and what immediately impressed us was David Cutler's obvious passion and enthusiasm for old buildings like our Grade 2 listed cottage. We consulted with David even before we purchased the property as the existing layout was unsuitable for a family home and he proposed 3 alternative layout options for us to consider. David helped us greatly in liasing with the Listed Building people and got all the plans through planning regs without any problems. He also helped us find a very good builder. David is very reliable, his fees are competitive and he is also realistic - his experience allows him to know how far to take things to ensure a successful outcome through planning.I would certainly be happy to recommend his services" Pippa Branagan , Rockbourne

"David Cutler has a long association with the Breamore Estate having been involved with the reinstatement of a fire damaged cottage in the grounds, conversion of one of the barns to offices, grant aid applications and refurbishment of the clocktower. I have always found his work to be very effecient." Sir Edward Hulse, Owner of Breamore Estate

"David did a wonderful job for us on our new house. He is an
excellent designer with a natural instinct for period buildings, and he is really good at making the best use of limited space. He is also very knowledgeable and meticulously careful, and does really good accurate drawings. He dealt with both the builders and the insurance company firmly but fairly, and was a great help to us at a very difficult time." Mr & Mrs Shepherd, Blissford

"We commissioned David to design and project manage our two storey extension and extensive alterations. I think he is very good with the planning authorities who obviously respect him and he works well with them. Certainly with the house being in a conservation area I think that his knowledge of how things work with the local authorities was very important. He was very good at working with old materials and established an excellent rapport with our experienced builder .Even though the work took 9 months we enjoyed the project so much we were sad when it ended! David came up with lots of creative ideas such as creating a utility room out of an old chimney breast and outside porch and he is very easy to deal with and personable. There were also some substantial structural complexities which he dealt with extremely competently. The finished project is absolutely as we wanted and in fact couldn't be any better" Mr & Mrs Carrington, Rockbourne

"David worked with us on our timber framed extension and linked in closely with ourselves and the builder. As a result, the relationship between the 3 key parties worked well and we were very pleased with the end result. David's role was advisory as opposed to project managing - and as he came only as and when required it worked out quite economical. We were pleased with his suggestions - he had lots of very creative ideas and the materials he suggested were of high quality and looked extremely good." Mr & Mrs Blue, Brixton Deverill
